22nd wedding anniversary...

Henry christening the dog park
Today was our 22nd wedding anniversary, so we decided to have a fun day. We started out  at the BEST dog park imaginable at Cherry Creek State park, the fenced dog off leash areas is about 10+acres so it took us over an hour to walk the boundary which was probably a 2 mile walk and meet all the dogs. We must have seen over 100 dogs all of which played well with our little balls of joy.

Henry and Ebony thought Cherry Creek was great for a paddle even though it was icy cold, they did tend to skate around a bit on the frozen sections, lucky it is only a few inches deep in the section they played in.

We then dropped the dogs off back at the unit for a well earned nap and headed out to Roxborough State Park for a leisurely hike. The red rock formations were quite picturesque and it was a spectacularly sunny day despite the maximum temperature being only 4c.

We had a wonderful day to celebrate our 22 years of marriage. We are headed to Marcos Coal Fired Pizza restaurant for dinner tonight which should be lovely as well.
