Confession time...
Well about two weeks ago I was grocery shopping and I picked up a packet of corn chips off the shelf and turned to Matt and said
"I think these packets are getting smaller, I am sure it was bigger last time I bought these?!"
Matt of course pointed out that the packet was the same size as usual and it began to dawn on me:
I am becoming an American!!
When the corn chip packet no longer seems the size of a garbage bag you know morbid obesity is just around the corner!
Then yesterday at work a group of four 5th grade students I was working with informed me that my Aussie accent is fading :O
And now after coming home at the end of the day several days in a row with shopping bags that contain not only groceries but other additional items that I could probably have lived without I am coming to the slow realization that:
I am addicted to Walmart, seriously it is a handy shop to have as your nearest local supermarket!
I have been here 5 months now and am beginning to feel like these winter months of cold and snow have been my cocoon allowing my transformation slowly to take place from an Aussie caterpillar to an American butterfly.
