Musings about the baseball...

As we went in the gate the list of prohibited items specifically states weapons are prohibited - I felt like I was in Bankstown NSW for a moment ;)

Coors Field

The blue row of seats near the top are the seats that are officially 1 mile above sea level.

In between the innings they actually sweep the dirt, it reminds me of when they are desperately trying to keep the pitch dry in cricket, little men running around everywhere looking busy.

The food was excellent compared to the cold 'hot' pies we used to get at the MCG and Arctic Park.

Matt & his hot dog

These are some serious hot dogs! Probably 10 inches long with jalopenos, mustard, ketchup, onion and a choice of dog or brat. See I am even getting the lingo down ;)

There were heaps of food vendors walking around too with such foods as; cotton candy, dippin dots, snow cones, beer, soft drinks, fresh squeezed lemonade.

Then as we were leaving the game there was a man outside with a megaphone spreading the word of god! ONLY IN AMERICA I said to myself for the millionth time since emigrating 6mths ago!

It was a great afternoon out at the ballpark.
