First I got the design, which is great! The grade 6s did a great job choosing this one.

Then I went to Walmart and got the fabric:

It is always hardest at this point, the hardest thing is getting started.

Step 1 make a pattern for the moose:

Looking okay so far, maybe i will lengthen the legs just a little.

Step 2  I have cut him out of the brown fabrics now and he looks much more moose-like.

Okay I have cut all the larger fabric pieces and laid them out to see how it is looking. Now i have to sew them together.

So I had a rather productive afternoon on my first day of summer break and am so far pleased with how it is looking.
