Butte Montana

We arrived in Butte after driving for about 8 hours from Cody through Yellowstone in Wyoming. We had car trouble on the way but managed to limp the car into town and get it repaired. We stayed the night in a cute B & B called Toad Manor, where our room theme was from Wind in the Willows. It couldn't have been more different to the cowboy motel the night before!!! Quite a contrast. The next morning we drove around Butte so Matthew could show me the sights before driving on to Washington State.

This is the tunnel that leads to the the Berkeley Pit a massive old open pit copper mine that has since filled with water.

The lookout over the pit is quite amazing!
