Day 2 - Durango to Moab

Today's road trip adventure was Canyonlands National Park!
Such a beautiful place.
We went in at the south end.
We enjoyed some rock scrambling to explore the rock formations and canyons.
The blue skies and fifty degree Fahrenheit weather was a nice change from the snow in Durango this morning.
It's about a 24 mile drive to the end of the road once you turn off the highway and the roads are sometimes windy and slow.
But it's worth it!
Then in the way into Moab we passed Wilson Arch and couldn't help stripping to enjoy it's beauty.
Hubby climbed to the Arch. I was too chicken.
He took the pic below whilst he was standing in the Arch.

It's a very large arch!
That's him in the Arch!
He's in the pic below, scrambling near the top of the climb:
Here he is about halfway up:
And the obligatory "I conquered the Arch" photos were taken after 😂👌

This area is so amazing and well worth seeing.

We took our time on several occasions today to just sit and enjoy views.
The canyons we deep and awe inspiring.
We could've spent days here exploring.

But the time we spent was very special and we are glad we had the time to do this today.
I wouldn't let hubby walk close to the cliffs so he did lay down and inch close to the canyon edge 😂

The petroglyphs at Newspaper Rock were amazing!
