2 years ago today the Drs at Fremantle Hospital in Western Australia saved my life after I suffered a massive pulmonary embolism:
 |
If this is me recovering what did I look like for the 3 weeks before that LOL |
3.5 weeks of clots amassing in my lungs, one ambulance ride, a day in the ER, a day in the ICU and several days on the normal ward, boy was I ready to head home!
 |
So just one or two little pills to take home when I was discharged! |
That bag of medication was why I had home nurse visits daily for 2 weeks, warfarin dosages can be tricky to figure out.
 |
I don't miss those daily blood thinning injections... this is why I like road tripping.... flying sucks these days |
So if any of you out there are flying today or any day, take aspirin and do the leg exercises.
Thankful to have had 2 extra years and hopefully many more to come.
Happy Anniversary Marianne! I don't think I'd ever get in an airplane again if I were you!
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer road trips these days Tami flying is a necessity but I am not keen top do it any more than I have to.
